5BHITN 2024/25
Students from class 5BHITN travelled to Madrid for four days in autumn 2024, following their week in Malta in spring 2024. These culturally and project-focused trips involved about twenty students, who were accompanied by their English teachers, Ms. Kurz-Hochwarter and Ms. Schaludek-Paletschek.
In today’s world, experiencing different countries, people, and cultures is essential for students to prepare for the demands of the 21st-century’s intercultural and diverse workplaces. With digital transformation reshaping the job market, Gen Z faces challenges that call for skills beyond the classroom: communication and languages, teamwork, openness to mobility, digital literacy and intercultural awareness, to name but a few. Malta and Madrid offered our students enriching but contrasting experiences. From the accommodation to the cultural highlights, both countries provided valuable but very different learning opportunities.
As the saying goes in German, ‚We don’t learn for school, but for life‘; our students brought home countless unforgettable impressions and new skills that will serve them well in the future.
