2023/24
treffpunkt.BILDUNG is a discussion forum focused on enhancing inclusivity in education systems and breaking down barriers for the good of children and young people from all backgrounds. The fourth treffpunkt.BILDUNG meeting on 14 May 2024 at Impact Hub Vienna (1070, Lindengasse 56) was attended by about 80 people, who explored ways of achieving this goal.
After a keynote by inclusion activist Stana Schenck, there was an interesting panel discussion featuring two of our students, Martin Dobrev (5BHITN) and Philipp Recknagel (5BHITN), who shared their experiences of their five years at SZU, where inclusivity is part and parcel of everyday school life. The stories they told, with a dose of humour, clearly illustrated how integration works on a day-to-day basis here at SZU, true to the school motto: Living together by embracing diversity!
Initiatives such as treffpunkt.BILDUNG will help to pave the way for more inclusive schools and more fulfilling lives for everyone in the future.
