Ceremony to award students with their FCE and BEC English language certificates
On 23 October 2020 the ceremony to award students with their FCE and BEC English language certificates took place as every year in the presence of Ms. Ines Hawkins, Centre Exams Manager at the Cambridge Institute, and our proud Head Teacher Ms. Martina Mikovits.
Students from various classes, mainly from HTL 4th grade (teachers Ms. Fahringer and Ms. Schaludek-Paletschek) and HAS final grade (teacher Ms. Weinand), collected their Cambridge certificates. Contrary to the usual procedure of presenting the certificates in the Main Conference Room, Ines Hawkins handed the certificates over to the happy students and former students in our impressive school premises, where spirits were high on a lovely autumn day despite Corona. Moreover, we were celebrating a first because for the first time in the existence of FCE exam preparation at SZU, one of the CLIL teachers, Mr. Andreas Brückner, was among the exam takers.
The students and Mr. Brückner were delighted at their results and to have another qualification on their CVs.
